Z. Axl’s Dig Yard began with a need from our founder: a calmer place to be with her daughter, Zoey, while navigating life after the loss of her son, Axl. In the middle of grief, everyday environments felt too loud and too fast for the kind of connection they needed.
She looked for a space where big feelings could exist without overwhelm, where there was room to pause, breathe, and stay connected through it all. When that kind of “third space” didn’t exist in the community, she created it.
Z. Axl’s Dig Yard is named in honor of Axl and shaped by Zoey’s resilience. It has grown into a place where families can slow down together, meet emotions as they come, and rebuild connection in a steady, supportive environment. It’s built for real moments, not perfect ones, and for families who want a place to feel a little more grounded together.
