Celebrate your child with a private sensory-play experience designed for digging, creating, connecting, and having fun!

Every Z. Axl’s birthday begins with a special journey through our Emotions Tunnel. Children are invited to notice how they are feeling as they make their way into a private party room featuring its own sandbox and creative activity area.

Once inside, the birthday child and their Dig Crew will dig, build, create, eat, and celebrate together.

We take care of the activities, food, setup, and cleanup, so you can enjoy the celebration with your child.

Pricing, Packages, and Add-ons

Straightforward Pricing for Up to 12 Children

Birthday parties start at $499 for up to 12 children. All participating children, including the birthday child, are counted toward the total headcount. To meet Connecticut’s supervision guidelines, groups larger than 12 require a second Dig Yard facilitator. Because of this additional staffing, extra children may be added for $25 each.

Birthday Rules

To help every celebration run smoothly, we ask all hosts and guests to follow these guidelines.

Arrival & Timing

Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled party time. When you enter, a Dig Yard facilitator will greet your family, guide you through check‑in, and help children ease into the space at their own pace.
Belongings can be placed in our party room so caregivers and children can move freely during play.
All party details are confirmed in advance, and day‑of changes cannot be accommodated.
Each child must be checked in by a parent or legal guardian, and waivers must be signed individually.
Parking is available in the main lot, and our entrance is clearly marked for easy access.
At the end of your session, staff will support a smooth transition out of the party room so families can gather belongings and wrap up their celebration with ease.

Food & Drinks

Z. Axl’s Dig Yard is a nut‑free facility. This means no food containing peanuts or tree nuts may be brought into the space. Products made in facilities that process nuts are permitted as long as they do not contain nuts as an ingredient.
Our party package includes pizza sourced from Big Y. While the pizza itself does not contain nuts, Big Y is not a nut‑free facility. Families with severe allergies should consider this when planning their food choices.
The party host is responsible for ensuring all outside food complies with our nut‑free guidelines. Staff will intervene if items containing nuts are brought into the space.
Food and beverages are permitted only in the party room.
No food or drinks are allowed in the private sandbox under any circumstances.
We do not provide cups for outside beverages, so please plan accordingly.
All serving surfaces are cleaned prior to your event to reduce cross‑contamination. Families are welcome to bring their own serving tools if preferred.
All children will be asked to wash their hands thoroughly before eating to help keep the space clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Decorations

No confetti, glitter, streamers, piñatas, or confetti/glitter balloons are permitted. Standard balloons are welcome but must remain in the party room. All décor must stay within the party room and may not be placed in or around the private sandbox or any play zones.
Banners, table décor, themed plates, napkins, and small centerpieces are allowed. For wall hanging, please use only painter’s tape or removable putty to protect our surfaces.
The party host is responsible for the setup and complete removal of all outside decorations. Setup may begin at your designated arrival time, and all décor must be fully removed by the end of your scheduled party window.
This keeps the space safe, clean, and welcoming for every family.

Safety & Supervision

Children must wear Z. Axl’s Dig Yard grip socks during play.

We are not responsible for personal belongings left behind, lost, or damaged during the party. Please keep valuables secured.

Shoes are not permitted in the sandbox or play areas.

Any damage to the facility or equipment caused intentionally or due to negligence by a party guest will be the financial responsibility of the party host.

Only materials provided by our facility may enter the sandbox.

Children are expected to follow facilitator instructions during guided activities.

At least one designated adult from the hosting party must remain present with the group throughout the event.
